!SAVE HORWICH LOCO WORKS!

Plans have been submitted to develop the Loco Works site. The Society's campaign is not blanket opposition to this development, but an attempt to persuade the developers to consider sympathetic upgrading/conversion to modern day uses like housing & offices as part of their 'mixed development' - without the Loco Works Horwich wouldn't exist. We want to see a sensitive conversion, like Arcon Village, respecting the heritage of the site. The Society is asking people to register their views through this website, on the petitions at the Heritage Centre and Horwich Library, on line or by letter to Bolton and Horwich Town Councils by March 5th.
Thank you.
